  • EMILY
  • STANLEY

Congratulations to Emily and Stanley, both of you have been chosen to be our class's

Mdm Winnie Wong, Teacher in charge, will be giving you more information in the coming weeks.

Your new duties include:

The NE ambassadors will go through training to be more aware and help to advocate the 6 NE messages among their peers. Your duties would include doing presentations as part of the pre-assembly programs and assisting NE committee members in executing NE programs.

National Education Messages

  1. Singapore is our homeland; this is where we belong.
We treasure our heritage and take pride in shaping our own unique way of life.

  2. We must preserve racial and religious harmony.
We value our diversity and are determined to stay a united people.

  3. We must uphold meritocracy and incorruptibility.
We provide opportunities for all, according to their ability and effort.

  4. No one owes Singapore a living.
We find our own way to survive and prosper, turning challenge into opportunity.

  5. We must ourselves defend Singapore.
We are proud to defend Singapore ourselves, no one else is responsible for our security and well-being.

  6. We have confidence in our future.
United, determined and well-prepared, we have what it takes to build a bright future for ourselves, and to progress together as one nation.

I believe both of you will meet the expectations of a NE ambassador.

Also, the training will be held on 8 September, Wednesday, from 12.45 – 1.45 pm. Lunch will be provided for pupils who are involved earlier in the morning for SOCC practice.Let me know if you are.

Let's show our appreciation to the Teachers

Dear Pupils,

Let's commemorate Teachers' Day and to thank the hardworking teachers for their hard work.
I would strongly encourage you to thank Ms Joanna Khong, Mr Jason Tan and your respective Chinese Teachers for their hard work. Both Ms Khong and Mr Tan have spoken well of you and believe that the class will do well if we work together as a team.

There are
two publicity posters pasted in the canteen and outside the Staff Room. Do take a look and find out more.

You could show your appreciation by sending in a special dedication or video. Just log on to teachersday.sg and tell what makes your teacher special, in 150 characters or less, before 31 August 2010. As a bonus, selected dedications will be published in the Straits Times on 1st September 2010, which is, of course, Teachers' Day.

Have fun,
Mr Kok

The boy who has so much PASSION. Do you?

The boy who was mentioned by Mrs Sim today...enjoy the story.

This 12-year-old boy wearing an orange t-shirt and blue shorts left everyone wondering, "Who's that boy?".

Reason? He ran close to 15km in the rain, alongside bearers of the Youth Olympic Flame torch, as it made its way through Sengkang, Punggol and Hougang.

Clad in slippers and clutching a digital camera - which got soaked in the rain as well, the student from Compassvale Primary School told reporters from the Straits Times that his run wasn't planned.

He said he just wanted to catch a glimpse of the flame and follow it, as he "may never see it again".
